ANNALAURA’S STORY
Through writing and performance, Annalaura researches the aesthetic and ethical relations among queerness, embodiment, forms and affects, exploring the narratives of power, care and responsivity.
This inquiry through writing and performance, Annalaura researches the aesthetic and ethical relations among queerness, embodiment, forms and affects, exploring the narratives of power, care and responsivity. This inquiry fosters the importance and significance of creative methods for enhancing care and justice in research, education, art and communication. In 2015, they joined Liverpool Hope as a lecturer in Performance Studies to build transdisciplinary and experimental approaches into research and pedagogy.
Annalaura’s work with performance has appeared in the UK and abroad – including Croatia, Germany, Italy and Chicago. Recent practice-research projects include “Endosymbiotic Love Calendar 2021”, a transdisciplinary collaboration supported by Arts Council England and Microbiological Society combining scientific experimentation, artmaking and eco-critical approaches. The work is always done with others. The belief is that together we can cultivate regenerative practices that allow for compelling strategies and valuable coalitions in the face of crisis.
